Alice in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

In my opinion, though I might be persuaded to think differently, this is not at all a children's book. Ofcourse when narrated correctly it might do as a good night's tale, however it is as far from a children's story as a raven is from a writing desk.
Wonderfully written, and it asks every bit of attention you can give, for all the riddles and rhymes do need a certain amount of concentration.
However, when paying attention to what you read it all makes sense, in a weird way though, and it makes you wonder, have I lost my childish innocence, that I need to think about what I am reading, to be able to understand what is written on the page.
