The book feels both complete and incomplete. The way the first book in a series is, or a season finale - or, instead, the penultimate episode of a season. The way graduation is. Fitting, given the transitional period Laila finds herself in. Fulfilling, with some finality, but still more waiting on the next blank page. Waiting to be written.
