Rereading this series after having read it when I was 12-13 and reflecting on the themes I missed when reading it then. It's so odd to me that my friends and I focused on the romance in the book rather than the contents itself. The Hunger Games definitely holds up to the test of time and I'm looking to read some social/political commentary alongside the series.
