Further Tales of the City by Armistead Maupin

5.0

I'm obviously officially addicted to this series! I just love that I know the places they're in. I know all the details. I know the intersections and the neighborhoods.

In this book, we get to know Prue, the gossip columnist and Luke, the strange guy she meets in Golden Gate Park and she gets obsessed with. We learn about Mary Ann getting her foot in TV business. About the fate of DeDe with her kids in the Jonestown massacre. Mary Ann is dating Brian. Mona had moved to Seattle for a change.

Soon enough, we'll get to our new adventure where Mary Ann gets invited to Frannie's house in Hillsborough and learns that DeDe is well along with the kids! and they promise Mary Ann the story so she can get promoted at her station. But DeDe is not well enough and is still afraid for herself as Jim himself is still out there. So in the meantime she sends her mom to a cruise with the kids so the kids are safe and away while she deals with stuff in SF and prepares for the big announcement on TV. At the same time Prue along with her Luke go on the cruise so that Prue can later introduce Luke as the handsome dude she met on the cruise and not some drift she met at the Park.

I won't go into what happens next but it's a huge spoiler and the story is packed with action now. It was really entertaining!
