Voidwalker

Thank you to Orbit Books and NetGalley for the ARC!
4.5/5 Stars
Voidwalker provides a unique world with interesting creatures and an energy system that keeps things interesting. Fi and Antal are both complex characters that experience deep growth both separately and together. I do wish we got a little more of the world building and to see a little more of Fi's past fleshed out. There are a few loose ends and questions I'm left with after reading, but they only serve to make me eager for book 2. Especially with the tease in the epilogue of what's to come.
I was interested immediately and captured by the writing style that really portrayed Fi's feisty inner monologue. As the plot picked up, I was entirely hooked. I'm not usually a monster romance girlie but this felt tame enough that I was engrossed the entire time.
Overall, this was a fun read that had me excited to keep reading at every moment. I love a strong, queer, female MC and Fi absolutely delivers on all fronts.
