The French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowles

3.0

Liked the mixture of Victorian and Postmodern literature, but the postmodern features in some parts weren't to my taste. I liked the narrator's comments and interceptions at times, but what I did not like was being given a possible and better/more peaceful ending only to be revealed that that wasn't actually how the story went. Preferably, I'd think just giving the open endings if possible would've been better.
