The Sea Around Us by Rachel Carson

challenging informative inspiring reflective sad slow-paced

4.5

A cornerstone book for anyone interested in learning about the sea. Covering the history and formation of the sea, sailing, and marine life, the resources available (or not) from the sea, Carson relays information in a clear and pretty concise manner.
While first published 1951 and some information either old or not entirely accurate, it is still a great and valuable read with plenty to learn from; it provides the encouragement to learn more about the subject.
