An alternative title for this book would probably be "The Shang-Young War: Battle for the Tyersall Park". This books will probably give you answers of every questions you had in the previous two books. Astrid's love problems, Rachel and Eleanor, Kitty's popularity, and the Su Yi's heritage.

I personally think the ending of this series is... fair, for each characters. No suffering ones but no one really wins either. The final act to do for Tyersall Park is not disappointing.
