I plucked this books randomly off a shelf of a used book store and it was such a good find. I fell hard for this couple and the situations they were put into. You are immediately dropped into the action and I appreciated that.
I liked Lilianna's independence and her intelligence. I thought the chemistry part was an interesting twist to it; it was fascinating to see it in that time period. Basically I just fell in love with the couple and then even more so, I was anxious to see how the mystery unfolded. I really wanted it to be the mother because I love a good villainess but I'm okay with how it ended.
Overall, I am happy I found this book and hope I can find a way to get the rest of the series.
