Dark and twisted alternate versions of the Star Trek Universe. It's possible to read these if you're not familiar with Star Trek lore, but you get so much more out of it if you're more familiar with the characters in the mainline universe. The first two stories, The Chimes at Midnight and The Gutted World, are very dark and gritty, with many deaths of beloved characters from the various Star Trek franchises.
