P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han

3.0

Another 3.5 stars for me, and I think I liked this book better than the first one. It's great to watch Lara Jean come into her own and mature, and seeing certain side characters get more fleshed out over the course of this book was appreciated.

I guess what I DIDN'T like about the book was its ending? I guess I just don't know if Jenny Han knew there would be a book #3 when she wrote this, because it feels sort of like "OH SHIT WE HIT THE CLIMAX BUT NOW I'VE GOTTA RESOLVE EVERYTHING IN LIKE, 50 PAGES" -- and that doesn't make sense, given the presence of a 3rd book here and now in 2017.

I didn't exactly agree with Lara Jean's choice in these last 50 pages, but I think that's BECAUSE of how rushed it was. If her internal struggle and decision-making had played out at a more normal pace, I think I would've been on board with the book's ending and it would've felt more... hard-won, or satisfying, or something?

Regardless, it was a fun fast read just like the first book, and I'm waiting for my hold to come in on the third, so props to Jenny Han!
