Love Is A Revolution

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think for most people at some point or another all we wanted to do was fit in and be liked. I think Watson really touched on that in this book when Nala, a plus sized black girl, meets Tye Brown. Tye is the newest member of Inspire Harlem, but the first thing Nala tells Tye about herself is a lie. She just wants him to like her, but eventually the lies spiral out of control and she gets caught.

I think the book address not competing with others and learning to love yourself from the point of view that YA readers will recognize and understand. Overall, I thought it was solid.
