The End of Policing by Alex S. Vitale

informative reflective sad medium-paced

4.25

i finished this book on my second try.  the first two chapters feel a little bit activisty in language and tone and turned me off from the book the first time cause i was looking for something academic to stretch my understanding not reinforce it.  however once i got to chapter 3 (about the policing in school) I knew i was in the right book cause i was learning things that i did not know and need to change immediately.  there is still a lot of reinforcement of truths i already hold in this book if your coming at it from the progressive lense that i am.  but he does give some detail on paths forward out of this mess.  spoiler alert, they are all very high minded and undetailed.  the path forward will be a long one...
