Gamut Magazine: Issue Four by Richard Thomas

5.0

Every issue of Gamut so far has been top notch, both the original fiction and the reprints. This issue includes a fantastic story by Angela Slatter (she's always a must-read as far as I'm concerned). One of the best original stories in this issue is Thorn Tongue, by Sarah Read: Strange, vivid, and disorienting, this story drew me in from the very first sentence. The prose is lush and original, and the world is exquisitely imagined and detailed. There’s a quest, there’s a loss, there’s guilt and pain and darkness, and every word is intoxicating.
