Am I Yours? by Alex Latimer

4.0

I read this book in Dutch, but will be writing my review in English. This was a cute book!

A little egg falls (or rolls) out of its nest and lands on the ground between all sorts of dinosaurs, will he or she find their parents?

I am a big dinosaur fan (of the old look, not the feathers) and so of course I couldn't resist a book like this. I was curious what the dinosaur in the egg was, would it be a t-rex? A brontosaurus? Velociraptor?

I loved that the egg, or what was inside, could speak and ask questions. I did think it was funny that it could see itself and so answer the questions send back to it from the dinosaurs. Oh well, I guess without it we wouldn't have this book.

How the dinosaurs figured out who the egg belonged to? That was such a fun twist! I am really happy with it, and also happy with what the dinosaurs did when the figured it out. Aww!

And that ending. *cries* That was just the sweetest.

The only thing I didn't like that much was the repetition. I get that it was needed, because the egg wanted to know who its parents were, but still. Oh well, at least we got to see all sorts of fun dinosaurs!

The art was really nice! I liked how the dinosaurs were drawn.

All in all, a fun, cute book about dinosaurs and finding your parents. Definitely recommended.
