First volume of the beautiful graphic novel. Wasn't sure what to expect when I picked this up, but I had no sense that this was a set of short illustrated stories by different authors. The title is Flight-and most of these stories center on Flight-but many of the contrast between the sky and sea, fealing grounded, letting dreams take flight, etc. Basically flight isn't always a literal here. Also i love the pun of Flight like a wine or beer flight, considering this is a series of stories to sip from, along with a wide variety of artistic styles. There doesn't seem to be much connecting the narratives aside from the theme, but there are a few easter eggs throughout. Overall, a solid collection, a bit ahead of it's time. Standouts for me are i wish, by Vea Brosgol and The Bowl by Clio Chiang.
