Lucas by Jay McLean
5.0
Lucas is a dick but I love him anyway. I totally understand the reasons why. Teenage boys are less-than-perfect beings.
What happens in this book is realistic--it's part of our reality, a really shitty part. The ups, the downs, the happys, the sads: through it all there is love. With love and family you can't fail. Ever.
And Lachlan? Funniest kid EVER! As I was reading, I kept wondering if Jay's kids are anything like him.
For a very brief few moments, I got to see my Logan--you know, the asshole Logan Matthews who we all love. *swoon*
Jay's books take you places you wouldn't expect to go and you never know exactly how you're going to get there or if your heart will still be in one piece when you reach the end. Those are the best kind of feels.
