Not one of Mishima's must-read works, but it's a fascinating little psych profile both of the protagonist and Mishima himself. All of Mishima's usual themes are here - introversion, extroversion, bodybuilding, fame, self-obsession, sex, death, suicide, misogyny, gay lust barely hidden under the surface.
