  • Strong character development? Yes
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
So...this is absolutely NOT a creepy middle grade story. This is about friendship, yes. But mostly about loss, grief, and barely-dealt-with trauma. There's no mystery to solve bc it's fairly obvious what's going on from the start. I'm honestly not sure how I felt about this because it was so far off from what I expected and what the synopsis promised.
