The Tao te Ching of Lao Tzu by Brian Browne Walker

challenging inspiring reflective relaxing medium-paced

3.0

This is one of the books I've had the longest and hadn't touched until now... I remember buying this in middle school maybe? Anyway, I just couldn't get into it back then but I found that reading a little every night got me through it, 10 years later. It's not that it's hard to digest, it's just that so much of Lao Tzu's "advice" is soooo general I don't really know how to apply it in a real world situation. The whole non-action thing is a good idea, but I think can be difficult to process. Basically, a lot of this book felt like a self help guide to like, business bros... I can imagine it being retitled "Leadership Lessons for Upper Management" or something like that.
