This is strong 4 stars. The person recommending me this book described is as a bit worse but still good Six of crows. And I do sort of agree, it has similar vibes, except the world-building of the city is just much more grandiose. And it's almost a living thing that corrupts everything and everyone.
Now, I did like the characters. I wish we got a bit more of Levi since I'm still not sure I really know him but maybe it comes later. Enne was an interesting character. I liked her character development from an uptight missus to someone dangerous.
The last Mizer. The killer. That was great.
I'm not sure I actually liked her personality but that's fine. The story is very complex. And it leaves a lot of question. It also has this sort of "you can never be sure" vibes. So I'm not actually convinced about some stuff. But yeah it was strong, it had a forbidden romance? If you can call it that... I liked this book. Will continue.
