The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager

mysterious slow-paced

3.0

This was too long for the plot. I wasn't disappointed by the ending and did like what came about. It's another one of those that feelings were blown up (they were kids and Emma was crushing on Theo) but trauma stays with you type of story. Chet was getting back at Emma for putting Theo as a suspect. Though Theo never slept with Vivian and it was the groundskeeper. Vivian killed Natalie and Allison for not saving her sister. Emma paints Vivian to put out a clue for the actual murderer. I don't know if I love that her and Theo get a fresh start but it's open ended enough that I can see it as they are n ot cordial but won't get together because Theo deserves to move on.
