Hope Is an Arrow: The Story of Lebanese-American Poet Khalil Gibran by Cory McCarthy

informative inspiring reflective slow-paced

2.75

I hadn't heard of Kahlil Gibran before reading this picture book biography. It does a great job of opening readers' eyes to a part of the world that (at least if they are American) they probably don't know a lot about. I had to look up several of the places and people groups in order to have full context for the story. This is very much a biography rather than an analysis, and does not focus heavily on legacy beyond a sentence or two at the end. Interesting, but not outstanding in my opinion.
