I quite enjoyed my time reading this book.

I still feel there needs to be a little more world/universe building done. The conflict overpowered the aspect of the universe that this is being done in, but that wasn't too bad...for the action was riveting.

This is a sprawling tale (which has JUST been introduced). We meet a few people that we follow through the story. Their individual moments were nice, but I do wish to know more about them and how they're doing.

I enjoyed the way the aliens were not just bad guys. That was a switch from just bug hunting. In this story there are bad guys out there, but the main problem is that they are misunderstood. Which, if you think about it...it ALWAYS the problem. Once they (eventually) understand their foes, doesn't mean they will be best pals, but at least they "know their enemy".

The military speak was fairly good. A lot better than some of the Classic Military SciFi I've read recently.

I will definitely be continuing on in the series.
