Untouchable by Talia Hibbert

5.0

Hibbert is an incredible writer, and this book may be my favorite (so far). Every single line makes me so livid and awestruck as a writer and entranced and in love as a reader.

Yes, to a book that deals with the live-in nanny forced proximity situation as a possible #MeToo issue, up to and including, Nate's brother Zach and all of Hannah's family very directly checking in.

There are children in this book, but in all the ways Hibbert knows we don't care except for cute cameos. (And the perfect angels always sleep through the night.)

Hannah's cluelessness around social cues is perfectly paired with Nate's guilt. I love that he's able to discuss his dead wife, his love for her, and the healing he's done with Hannah and his children.

Hibbert never fails to make you physically feel her characters and hang on to their every emotion. This book typifies how romance is about feelings and interiority, and how much I dearly love that.
