Beyond the Gate by Mary SanGiovanni

Did not finish book.

Normally, I dig Mary SanGiovanni's writing, but this is one case where the book really just did not work for me. The writing style was a bit different here. It was a deliberate choice and probably worked for the book, but it made it hard for me to read.
