This is a visually gorgeous graphic novel, full of the glamour one can imagine with hedonistic gods living briefly among us as pop stars.
Some of the introductory events involving the POV character seem a bit of a stretch, but it does serve to place her right in the middle of this world and get things rolling quickly. It took me a little time to appreciate her, but going along for the ride is worth it.
More of her character traits and obsession with the gods will be explained in volume 2.
This graphic novel is about VIBES. The volumes I've read are giving fandom dialed up to 11. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll but then make all those clichés "miraculous." So many of these characters could wreck me... and I'd thank them for it. Which is entirely the point. Lol This is a good time.
