— while i can certainly acknowledge the many, many discrepancies / mistakes / faults of this book, i just love gossip too damn much to give it under a four star rating.

character wise…. oh boy, it’s been a journey.
there were so many new introductions (not all of them as interesting as i’d like) but for me, it was actually one of the characters i tolerated the least in cra who really shined, miss kitty pong! i loved her character development and felt very sympathetic towards her, something i thought was impossible after what she does to alistair in the first book.
nick and rachel… good lord, no. they were the characters that i was the LEAST interested in, even if this whole thing revolves around rachel. she got even more passive than in the last book and that just annoyed me so so so so much.

though not necessarily a brilliant, amazingly written book, i’m still invested enough to start the third one right this second !
