4.0

Highlights of this issue for me: Scot Edelman's "After the Harvest, Before the Fall," a tale of complicated choices for a society that exists to be harvested as bodies for a mostly unseen society; Edward M. Lerner's "Paradise Regained" about genetic manipulation that preserves the human race, while also sacrificing much of what makes it human; Tom Greene's "Necessary Illusions" that takes the power of storytelling into consideration in society building, and whether such illusions are best for those societies in the long run; and "Dall's Last Message" from Antha Ann Adkins, which explores the importance of shared knowledge and shared misconceptions.
