Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again by

3.0

This one was better than the first run of Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe but it's still far from totally satisfying. This one is a totally new story so don't think of it as a sequel, because you'll be confused as to why so many of the heroes Deadpool killed in the first run are back alive here. The artwork is strong, especially the huge variety of styles that are used to depict Deadpool's various mental states when he's killing heroes while under mind control. That was a solid plot device that makes Deadpool into more of a victim than villain and allows for the artists to be very creative. Each issue felt a little too rushed though and seemed to just jump from slaughter to slaughter with little time to react between. If you enjoy comics that break the fourth wall and critique the medium as a whole, check this one out.
