aaaaaah what a set up!! not quite as good as the last one but a very good story nonetheless, and really shows the climax of the political thriller. the character work is also very good—romana's choosing of the imperiatrix reads as a greek tragedy. it was always inevitable, and and always terrible, and seeing it through her eyes was fascinating.
