Suspend your belief in emotionally mature men
Maybe (defiantly) I'm a cynic but 20 something emotionally mature men are so unrealistic. I love it but I didn't buy it. Lucas was besotted with Tess from the start whereas she, being older was more guarded and jaded. The age gap was too much for me (but it's one of my least favourite tropes so I'm bias). I do love Olivia Dade's writing and will always come back to her books.
