Dragons Prefer Blondes by Candace Havens

4.0

I like Candace Havens, and I particularly like the two Caruthers sisters books I've read. Dragons Prefer Blondes focuses on Alex, who, as one of the four Guardian Keys [and her sisters], is responsible for keeping the Dragons in line.

Alex has her hands full, between the big-time incursion of evil trying to take over the world, a Dragon king who's demanding she become his mate, and, probably most terrifying for Alex - the job of planning the wedding of the century for her rich, spoiled, indecisive BFF Aspen. Not to mention that she's suddenly admitted that she has the hots for Jake - the security guy responsible for keeping Alex and her sisters alive as they go about their business of controlling the magical beings of multiple alternate worlds . . .

And you thought YOUR life was complicated?! Ha!

These books are like chocolate-covered coffee beans - sweet, spicy, fun and decadent, along with a big caffeine kick of excitement. They are fast, easy reads and highly entertaining, since the Caruthers sisters do their world-saving work with their tongues planted firmly in their cheeks and with healthy senses of humour. The characters are clever and likeable and the plots whip along fast and furious.

I recommend this series if you like smart, sexy, spunky butt-kicking heroines who jet-set around the world, run high-profile businesses, date hot guys, and, oh, yeah - save the world, doing all that in designer couture and four-inch heels - well, what more could you ask for??
