He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Vol. 1 by Frazer Irving, Dan Abnett, Joshua Hale Fialkov, Keith Giffen, Philip Tan, Rafael Kayanan, James Robinson, Pop Mhan

4.0

I grew up a child of the early 80's so I remember He-Man fondly but I also grew out of it quickly being quite cheesy. I was at Comic-Con over the weekend and found this graphic novel that takes a more adult storyline with the same familiar characters.

Plot revolves around the fact that Skeletor has won and he has erased the memories of all of the Masters of the Universe (Teela, Man at Arms etc.). Something is eating at Adam and he needs to find out what it is (could it be that he's He-Man? Of course) and one by one he meets and defeats all of Skeletor's minions always getting closer to the truth.

I won't give away spoilers but I think you can guess how this ends.
It was a good read and glad I found it.
