Despite how heavily this book references different studies and books, this was a very easy/gentle read. There's a nice balance between the observations raised, and practical suggestions, although personally I found the many example stories were sometimes trite. Franco has a very conversational way of writing, which maybe lessened the potential impact. I appreciated the clear intersectionality, the chapter on vulnerability had a good look at how this impacts men specifically, and there was another section on code switching and performance from POC.
