A Royal Pain in the Class by Neil Humphreys

5.0

I had read most of Neil Humphreys’ work in the early 2000s and had forgotten just how funny he is. A Princess, Incognito, in an average, unremarkable school. She gets into shenanigans over seemingly, a class bully who turns out to have a deeper story. But what gives this story that extra oomph is Humphreys’ way with words and that irrepressible British humour. He does not talk down to the young reader, he includes them into his little inside jokes and it WORKS.
