Heart of Evil by Heather Graham

5.0

First, I totally disagree with previous reviews of this book. If you are a true reader then the complaints about the background of the reenactment and history of the plantation is not justified. Really, so addicted to action movies that you can't enjoy a fabulous historical description about the characters who will be throughout the book and the rich southern history that have a direct relation to the story and the murder. It was only 2 chapters for goodness sake. I also totally disagree with the complaints that Jake was not the same as in book one. First, in book one, you got a picture of who he was by others observation of him. In this book, we were able to hear his inner thoughts and personal dilemmas and worries.

Finally, this is a book that keeps its secrets until the very end. Excellent mystery and historical education, as well as how some southerners feel about the past. A very good read. I am enjoying the Krewe of Hunters series.
