I'm not sure what I expected going into this book, but I'm disappointed by what came out of it overall. The plot was just outrageous and the ending so sudden. My nook showed 30+ pages left but there was no more story. Just a preview for another book. Despite its suddenness, the ending did seem to fit the feeling of the book. I usually like campy, but this didn't do it for me.
I did like the main characters through. Laurel was so refreshing when the media is constantly telling girls and young women they need to be thinner to be prettier. Laurel was comfortable with who she is, and I greatly admired that. Tom had good development too. I liked seeing his struggle with fame/publicity. Also refreshing that he liked Laurel for who she is.
