The Raven and the Dove by Kaitlyn Davis

5.0

Heavens above…

5 stars. Absolutely 5 stars.

The story was captivating, addictive, absolutely thrilling. The characters were complex and though I absolutely HATE Cassi, I can somewhat understand- nope. I hate that girl. I hate that girl, but she wasn’t 2 dimensional. She was developed. We saw her reasons. I loved Lyana! I want for her to get her HEA with Rafe so badly. Shes going to be so heartbroken when she realises what has been done to her in the next book and I shudder to think of how she’ll fall apart. Similar to Rafe, poor Rafe. Someone please find him. Oh Xander, I love you and it’s so unfortunate that Lyana couldn’t be yours, but you can’t force love.

I couldn’t believe the story was 499 pages because I positively gobbled them up and was still hungry for more. The tale had me completely IMMERSED. The world building, the lord of the isles, the mythology behind the gods- all of it had me enraptured.

This might be my favourite book for the year. Definitely a story I wish I could read again for the first time and though I will read it again, I must finish the trilogy (I think) before I can. I must see how it all unfolds.

Also, Malek, you are on my hit list. Absolute monster.
