These Fragile Graces, This Fugitive Heart by Izzy Wasserstein

4.0

Quite a quick read!! An eye catching dystopian piece where you can see the ties directly from our world to this future. Almost can go without saying, but the representation in this book sparked joy!

The good:
- a dark sci-fi world with clear ties to society in 2024
- queer characters of all kinds, anarchists galore, and some clones to boot!

The bad:
- the villain was clear from the get-go -- nothing wrong with a predictable story, but if it bothers you, know that going in
- there was one scene (you'll know it when you get there) that didn't quite resonate for me, especially given the brief conversation on age and relation
