Barefoot at Midnight by Roxanne St. Claire

4.0

So far I truly enjoyed all "Barefoot Bay Timeless" series. In the Barefoot Bay Universe, I reckon "Timeless" is about older characters (40s and older), it's a nice change from all the contemporary romance about 20-something lovers and it makes for less drama. That's a really good thing in my book. I love some good angst in my romance but sometimes I must say I feel too old for some of the contrived situations authors come up with.
Less is more and this is exactly what you'll get with the "Barefoot Bay Timeless" series with still enough conflict to keep things interesting.

Law and Libby got me reading throughout in about a day, I enjoyed their slow burn romance lead by some playful flirting and a pinch of antagonism due to their legal battle over a property they both want to acquire.
Overall a charming read, with enough steam to keep my romance reader self happy. Bring on the next!

All the Barefoot Bay titles can be read as standalones. So far in the Barefoot Bay Universe, there are 18 books releases.
-3 in the Timeless series—older heroes
-5 in the Undercover series—spies and undercover agents finding their HEA
-3 in the Brides series
-3 in the Billionaires series
-4 in the original Barefoot Bay series.
