Did not finish book. Stopped at 4%.
Alright is this dude going to be the love interest? Man handling her like that all crazy, ripping out her flesh because he's gripping her so hard??? Yanking her around by her collar & shit... the fuck?
Also sometimes her voice sounds overly formal for a supposed 21st century character... unsure if it's just the British accent though?? lol. "His eyes raked my form." / "Whilst I was thrown violently sideways..." / "Though he did not raise his voice nor change his tone..." / "The sincerity in his voice was equal to the malice." / "Entwining his arm around my waist..."
Not loving the narrator, either.
