Betrayal of Trust by J.A. Jance

4.0

I have become hooked on Jance's Joanna Brady series, so thought I'd try her J.P. Beaumont books (tried Allie Reynolds--and not so much). And this was a good one, involving teenagers and a governor and some heartbreaking facts.

The reason I like Joanna Brady books is the title character-- and that holds here, too, with J.P. Beaumont's dry, sarcastic voice making him memorable, without being overly obnoxious. This is a good thing, I think. There are two dozen J. P. Beaumont books and novellas, and the library has most of them. Lots of good driving-around listening.

Four stars.
