It felt like in order to really appreciate this book, you had to be familiar with the Dragonlance setting and many of the previous adventures in it. I didn’t think Destina, the main character was very likeable or a very consistent character. She’s kinda a jerk and pouty and only cares about her dad. It takes a long time for the story to really develop and it feels like a lot of time is kinda taken up with throwaway characters in it for just a moment to be used by Destina and then cast aside. The real heroes, probably from earlier stories, don’t appear until at least halfway through the book. The setting is cool and it has interested me in reading some of the earlier stories, but it isn’t a good standalone work. The time travel story device seems a bit overused and like the authors are just trying to jump on the current time travel/multiverse train.
