I'm trying to figure out where all of these high ratings come from. King isn't a bad author. In fact, I've read quite a few of his books and enjoyed them. But this? Not his best work by far. The main character is boring (and unlikeable I might add) and the rest are one dimensional. Dare I say the main character, who is supposed to be from 2011, is passive aggressive, misogynistic, and even a bit racist. I expected so much more. This book could have been cut down to 500 pages and you wouldn't even miss the other 340. And I know King has written for years, but this book had some serious typos and errors. I don't care how famous an author is, their books need editors. Such a great plot was ruined by the constant droning of the main character, and I just didn't care. At all.
