Nik is absolutely not looking for marriage, which we find out right away. Fortunately, Carlos, the hottie who rescued her in the beginning, feels the same. Of course, as expected in any rom-com, these feelings start to change.

This book is adorable and brings up several real issues in a lighthearted way that makes you love almost every character in this book (screw Fisher though). Jasmine Guillory always has a beautifully diverse group of characters.

I also love that there are mentions of characters/couples from the other books. You don’t have to have read the other books to understand (although there is a suggested reading order if you want to pay attention to that) but it’s a really cute touch.

Fisher comes back in the end and it’s such a satisfying scene. It’s pretty corny with the reaction from someone walking by, but he does get what he deserves in the end. Which is great, because he’s even more of a jerk than he seems in the beginning.
