When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi

5.0

Perhaps one of the best written books that I have ever read. It's unimaginable to me that the author was literally dying when he wrote it and rushing to complete it. Anyhow, as usual, I was a hesitant to reader because I thought the topic was too morbid. And it is . And it isn't. Kalanithi grapples with the complexity of living and dying, writing in prose that I didn't think people used anymore. This book won awards, right? Because it sure should have. Highly recommend.
