The Chestnut Man by Søren Sveistrup

4.0

Warning!: mentions of rape, child molestation, and gory scenes.

"Chestnut man, do come in. Chestnut man, do come in. Have you any Chestnuts that you've brought for me today, thank you kindly, won't you stay."

This is the perfect read for Fall. It's so atmospheric and creepy. It's like you're reading a Criminal Minds episode. I loved that they sprinkled in the children's rhyme throughout the book and twisted it so it sounded eerie. There are a lot of points of views in this book, so at times it did become a bit confusing, but it wasn't bad. I'm pleasantly surprised with how many twists and turns are in the book and I genuinely enjoyed the story. I would definitely recommend reading this book, especially now because the weather right now is perfect for it.
