I thought that, after processing the deluge of characters in the first volume, it would be easier to follow character interactions this time around. Damn, was I wrong.
Confusion aside, this is still excellent stuff. The characters are evolving in a way that is, while a little cartoony, still makes sense. And the slightly fantastical elements of the story fit together very well.
