4 MC loving stars!
Hero: 4.5 stars!! Oh Greeley. I want a Greeley. First of all, his name?! Wonderful. I loved how he loved her so much, and staked his claim and quit fighting what they have fairly quickly. He fought for both of them… and it was lovely to read!
Heroine: 4.5 stars!! Oh Merritt. (okay, her name I didn’t love so much). She is such a confused woman. I was rooting for her the entire time. It wasn’t even that she needed to get her head out of her ass, it’s that she was raised with certain expectations and she doesn’t know how to reconcile everything. I don’t always love heroines; they usually annoy me. Merritt, however, was awesome.
Plot: 4 stars!! I really enjoyed this story. Also, the writing was fantastic which is always a nice bonus. The story doesn’t span that long; almost 40% of the book was for ONE day. I think that’s a little much, but luckily I never got bored. There is actually more going on than you think at first, and by the end of the book you are wondering “Well what now?!” (this is about the backstory, not the couple). The overall plot is great, heartbreaking, and a little freaky. I wasn’t expecting the backstory to continue on which was a surprise I was okay with.
Sex Scenes: 3.5-4 stars! The scenes were hot and fit the characters and plot. Sometimes I wanted a little more, but that is because I’m a pervert.
What I loved: The story; the main characters. I love that the couples story was wrapped up without tooooo many loose ends, but the backstory doesn’t seem to be over.
What I disliked: To an extent I would have liked a little more background on the H especially. We get a short overview, but I think it helps to understand his past to get where he is now. I just wanted it to dig a little deeper. I also think since almost 40% of the book was focused on one day, it would have been nice to shorten that up a bit. It was starting to drag just a little.
Will I read this author again? Yes, definitely. This series has hooked me, so I can’t wait to read on!
